Privacy policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
This policy explains what Rainbow Junk Removal & Hauling does with personal information collected through this website and through the phone number and email address published on it. It is written to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act.
Who we are
Rainbow Junk Removal & Hauling is a California limited liability company providing junk removal and hauling services in San Francisco, Contra Costa, Alameda, Marin and Solano counties. You can reach us at rainbowjunk@rainbow-junkremoval.com or (415) 520-0934.
What we collect
- What you give us directly. Filling in the request form, calling or texting sends us a name, a phone number, an email address where you add one, the address or area the work is at, and your description of the job. Photographs of a load count here too.
- What the server records. Standard web server logs: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you opened and the time. This is created automatically by visiting any website and is not tied to your name.
- What Google Analytics records. Which pages you looked at, for how long, roughly where you were browsing from, what kind of device you used and how you found the site. It reaches us as counts and charts, not as a list of named people.
- Job records. If work is carried out, we keep the address, the date, what was removed, the price and the payment method.
Identification numbers, bank details and card numbers have no business arriving here. Please do not send them through the form or by email, because we have no use for them.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, give you an estimate, schedule a crew, find your address on the day, invoice you, meet the disposal records our transfer stations require, and deal with any question or complaint afterwards. We do not sell personal information and we do not rent out our contact list.
Who else sees it
- The crew assigned to your job, who need the address and the description.
- Our hosting provider, which stores this site and processes form submissions on our behalf.
- Google, through Google Analytics, for the visit information described above.
- Our telephone and email providers, which carry your call, text or message.
- A payment processor if you pay by card, which handles the card details directly. We never see or store a full card number.
- Our accountant and, where the law requires it, a government agency or a court.
Text messages
You can text us at (415) 520-0934, and we text customers about their own requests: the price, the booking, the arrival window and any follow-up on that job. We only text you if you texted us first or ticked the text box on our request form. We do not send marketing texts.
Message frequency varies with the job, usually a handful of texts per request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text and we will stop, with one message confirming it. Reply HELP for help, or call (415) 520-0934.
We will not share, sell or disclose your mobile number, your text opt-in data or your consent to any third party or affiliate for their marketing or any other purpose. Text opt-in data and consent are left out of every kind of sharing described on this page. The only outside company that handles a text is the phone carrier that delivers it.
Google Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics, a service from Google that counts visits. When a page opens, a short script from Google places cookies in your browser and sends Google the visit details listed above. We use the reports to see which areas people are looking for and which pages lead to a call or a request. What you type into the request form and the photos you attach are not sent to Google.
Google explains how it handles this information on its page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. To stop Google Analytics in your own browser, Google offers a free Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Tracking and Do Not Track
This site uses no advertising pixels and no behavioral advertising. Nothing on it follows you to other websites to show you ads. A Do Not Track signal from your browser does not change how this site behaves.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted within about twelve months. Completed job records and the invoices attached to them are kept for the period California tax law requires, currently four years, and then destroyed.
Your choices
Write to rainbowjunk@rainbow-junkremoval.com and ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. We will answer within thirty days. Deletion is limited only by records we are legally required to keep, such as completed invoices. Asking to be removed from our contact list costs nothing and we do not ask why.
Children
This site is aimed at adults arranging a service and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has sent us something, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Job records are held in password protected accounts. No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise, which is why we keep as little as the work allows.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes to how we handle existing information will be sent to anyone affected by email where we have one.
