Terms of service
Last updated October 18, 2026
These terms cover junk removal and hauling work carried out by Rainbow Junk Removal & Hauling. Booking a job means accepting them.
Nothing on this site is a binding offer
The descriptions and examples here show the kind of work we do. They are not a contract and they are not a price list. A job exists once we have quoted it in person and you have accepted that quote.
How quoting works
A figure given over the phone or by message is an estimate based on your description and nothing more. The binding price is the one given on site, in person, once the crew has seen the actual load. It is based on the space the load occupies in the truck and includes labor, carrying, sweeping and disposal unless we have told you otherwise in writing. Nothing is lifted until you have agreed to that price. If you decline it, we leave and you owe nothing.
Access, ownership and permission
You confirm that you own the items being removed or that you are authorized by the owner to have them removed. For rental property, storage units, estates and foreclosures, that authority sits with you and not with us. We are entitled to ask for evidence of it and to refuse the job if we are not satisfied. We are not responsible for a dispute about ownership arising after a removal you asked us to carry out.
What we will not carry
We do not take paint, solvents, motor oil, fuel, batteries, propane and other compressed gas cylinders, asbestos or materials suspected of containing it, medical or biohazard waste, pesticides, pool and industrial chemicals, ammunition or explosives. These are excluded by law and by the sites that accept our loads. If such material is found inside a load, it stays behind and the price is adjusted for what is actually taken.
Property and damage
We take reasonable care, including protecting floors and door frames on an awkward carry. We are responsible for damage caused by our own negligence during the work. We are not responsible for pre existing damage, for wear revealed once an item is moved, such as marked or faded flooring underneath furniture, for damage to items that were already broken or structurally unsound, or for damage caused by a route or an instruction you directed us to use against our advice. Report any damage to us within seventy two hours of the work so we can look at it while the facts are fresh.
Items leaving the site
Once removed, items are sorted for donation, recycling or disposal and cannot be recovered. Check every drawer, box and pocket before the crew loads. We are not responsible for property, documents, money or valuables left inside something you asked us to remove.
Liability
Whatever the claim, what we can owe on one job stops at what that job cost you. Knock-on losses sit outside that: lost rent, a closing that slipped, a deadline missed, business you did not get. Where California law says a liability cannot be capped, it is not capped.
Scheduling and cancellation
Arrival times are windows and not appointments to the minute, because traffic, weight limits and the job before yours all move. Cancel or reschedule by phone or text and there is no charge. If a crew travels to a confirmed booking and nobody is there to provide access, we may charge a trip fee, and we will have told you the amount before that booking was confirmed.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing. A receipt is issued for every job showing what was removed and what you paid.
Text messages
Rainbow Junk Removal & Hauling sends text messages from (415) 520-0934 about requests and jobs you have asked us about: prices, scheduling, arrival windows and follow-up. We do not send marketing texts. Message frequency varies with the job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help, or call (415) 520-0934 or email rainbowjunk@rainbow-junkremoval.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. How we handle your number is set out in our privacy policy.
Complaints
Call or email before anything else. Almost everything is fixable inside a week when somebody tells us. Hearing it from a review instead helps nobody, least of all you.
Governing law
California law applies to everything above. Any dispute that comes out of it belongs in a California court.
Questions about any of this
Call or email and ask. A real person reads it.
